Speaker: Marty Finnegan, DDD Employment Specialist
The requirements for receiving DDD services will be reviewed. There will then be a presentation on the types of employment services the Division provides. The process for receiving services will then be discussed. Handouts will be provided.
Speaker: Megan Didion, Area Works Incentive Coordinator
Social Security Disability (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for students with disabilities will be discussed. Social Security offers monthly cash benefits and medical assistance under the Social Security Act and Supplemental Security income programs for those who qualify. Medical coverage maybe from Medicare and/or AHCCCS. This presentation will also cover the employment support provisions commonly referred to as work incentives.

Safeway, Inc. will be sharing information from the employer's point of view as to what you can do to be the best applicant. This presentation will address how to have a successful interview, what information is necessary to fill out an application correctly and the do's and don'ts of the interviewing process. There will even be some mock interviews.
